This facility is available and our therapists have the provider numbers for all private health insurances. The amount you have deducted off your treatment will vary according to your health insurance policy. Client Consultation
Your initial visit will involve you completing a client consultation form. This asks for your past and present medical history. Your medication and supplements must also be added to the form. This informs our staff about your current health status.
There are certain contraindications which all professional body work therapists have been trained not to treat. These are people who currently have or have had a history of thrombosis. This includes DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) and a PE (Pulmonary Embolism). People with uncontrolled high blood pressure cannot have any form of body work treatment until their blood pressure has stabilised. Treatments will not be performed on ones who have undergone surgery within the last 6 weeks. A surgeon’s consent must be obtained before proceeding with treatments.
These regulations have been set out by the MMA (Massage & Myotherapy Australia) regarding their standards and code of Ethics. These professional standards also abide by health and safety regulations. All staff have a duty of care to clients and their safety always comes first.
